SMS Permission Declaration
Last updated: November 2025
Core Purpose of SMS Permissions
SMS Forwarder requires access to SMS-related permissions solely for the core functionality of the app: detecting incoming SMS messages and automatically forwarding them to the user’s chosen phone number. This functionality is not possible without receiving and sending SMS messages directly through the device.
Permissions We Request
- • RECEIVE_SMS: Used to detect incoming SMS messages so they can be forwarded according to the user’s settings.
- • SEND_SMS: Used to forward the message content to the phone number specified by the user.
No Data Collection or Transmission
SMS Forwarder does not collect, store, or transmit any SMS content or personal data. All message processing happens locally on the device. No SMS or personal information is ever uploaded to external servers, shared with third parties, or used for analytics or advertising.
User Control
Users remain in full control of SMS forwarding. They may disable forwarding in the app, revoke SMS permissions through Android system settings, or uninstall the app at any time to remove all local settings.
Compliance with Google Play Policies
SMS Forwarder complies with Google Play’s SMS and Call Log Permission policy by using SMS permissions only for a feature that is core to the app's primary purpose. The app does not access, use, or store SMS data for any secondary purpose such as analytics, advertising, authentication, or personalization.
